Life After Death

Life after death looks different than I imagined.

When people hear the phrase, they often think about physical death, but sometimes life after death is about learning how to live after losing someone you love. Losing a parent changed me in ways I never expected. It affected my motivation, my confidence, my business, and even how I viewed the future. There were days when simply getting out of bed felt like a victory. The dreams I once chased so aggressively suddenly felt distant, and the business I had spent years building felt heavier than ever before. Grief has a way of making you question everything, including yourself.

For a while, I found myself stuck between honoring the loss and trying to figure out how to keep moving forward. The truth is, there is no manual for navigating loss while running a business. There is no roadmap that tells you how to continue building when your heart is broken. What carried me through was my faith and the belief that God did not give me this vision by accident. Even on the days when I felt disconnected from my purpose, I knew that my assignment was bigger than my pain.

This year marks a major milestone for me personally and professionally. Ten years ago, I showcased my very first swimwear collection on a runway. Looking back, I smile at the woman I was then. She was ambitious, fearless, and willing to bet on herself even when no one else understood the vision. Over the last decade, I have learned countless lessons about entrepreneurship, fashion, resilience, and sacrifice. I've celebrated wins that felt impossible and endured setbacks that almost made me quit. Through it all, Nina Sharae Resort & Swimwear remained alive because I remained committed to the vision.

As I reflected on this ten-year anniversary, I realized something important. No one wants to spend the next ten years doing exactly what they did during the last ten years. Growth requires evolution. Success requires support. For years, I wore every hat imaginable within my company. I was the designer, marketer, customer service representative, social media manager, production coordinator, and everything in between. While that level of dedication helped build the foundation of the brand, I knew it would not take me to the next level.

One of the most impactful decisions I made this year was hiring help. Bringing on an Acting COO has completely changed the trajectory of the company. In just six months, we've made progress that would have taken me years to accomplish alone. Having someone who can help execute the vision while strengthening operations has allowed me to focus on strategy, creativity, and growth. It reminded me that asking for help is not weakness. It is leadership.

The past year also brought unexpected challenges. Our Miami manufacturing partner shut down without warning, forcing us to quickly reevaluate our production plans. At first, it felt devastating. Miami had been an important part of our journey, and losing that relationship created uncertainty. But what initially felt like a setback turned into one of the greatest opportunities we've ever received. Today, Nina Sharae Resort & Swimwear is expanding production into South America, opening the door to stronger manufacturing capabilities, new partnerships, and greater scalability. Sometimes God closes doors because the next room is bigger than the one you're standing in.

As we prepare for our upcoming launch, I am excited to announce that we are producing the largest capsule collection in company history. To be honest, I'm scared. Growth can be intimidating, especially when you've invested so much of yourself into something. But alongside that fear is excitement. I know that every major breakthrough begins with uncertainty. This collection represents more than fashion. It represents perseverance, faith, and the willingness to continue building despite the challenges.

One thing that has never changed is our mission. Nina Sharae Resort & Swimwear was founded on the belief that confidence is a lifestyle and that luxury does not have a size. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our size range from Medium to 3XL because every woman deserves to feel beautiful, confident, and seen. Our goal has always been bigger than creating swimwear. We are building a brand that encourages women to embrace themselves exactly as they are while stepping boldly into the life they deserve.

There are also exciting developments happening behind the scenes that I am not quite ready to share. Trust me, keeping these secrets has not been easy. What I can say is that the future of Nina Sharae Resort & Swimwear is brighter than ever, and we are only getting started.

If you've been following our journey, thank you for believing in us. If you're new to our community, welcome. The last ten years taught me how to survive. The next ten years will teach me how to soar. And for the first time in a long time, I'm excited about what's ahead.
